We have a sizeable library of materials on the 2003 reform of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union available for Members. The changes implementing the Single Payment Scheme had and continue to have a profound effect on all those involved in agriculture and rural business.

The restricted-access Members' Section of this site contains copies of the Regulations from the European Council and Commission which govern CAP from January 2005, including the replacement Regulations effective from January 2009, together explanatory materials discussing their effect. It also contains some background to the scheme along with guides issued by DEFRA.

We are keeping a weather eye on developments in the further reform to take effect in the next Perspective and the Members' Section also contains the current state of the draft Regulations published by the European Commission in October 2011.
